As a Part 61 flight school located directly at Boise Airport, we offer one-on-one instruction across every major FAA certificate: Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, and Certified Flight Instructor. Your training is built around your schedule, paced to your goals, and guided by instructors who have earned some of the highest ratings the FAA awards.

Private Pilot License
The foundation of everything. Train one-on-one with a Certified Flight Instructor and earn the certificate that lets you fly anywhere in the US. Ground school, solo flights, cross-country navigation, and your FAA checkride. Students complete training in flexible, self-paced sessions built around their schedule.

Fly through clouds, low visibility, and weather that grounds other pilots. The instrument rating makes you a more capable, more confident, and safer pilot. Flight Instructor (CFI and CFII)
Teaching people how to fly is one of the fastest, most flexible ways to build hours and one of the most rewarding careers in aviation. Carmel trains flight instructors and actively hires from within. Six of our current flight instructors completed at least part of their training at Carmel.
